Svínoy

Nature
Svínoy (Swiney) consists only of the top basalt layer as well, and is geologically interesting. Nature is varied. The island coast is steep and difficult to pass, but on top of the island there are large green valleys. There are many birds on the island, and good opportunities to get a great bird experience. The island also has a rich fauna and rare plants as “Baraldur” (Juniperus communis alpine) grows on the island.

Projects

A boat museum and activities around the Faroese boat are underway. There are also other projects, with the purpose of creating job opportunities, especially for women, and create wellbeing and population growth.
